Terrific Tuesdays: Free performances at ImaginOn this summer

Bring the kids to ImaginOn this summer for Terrific Tuesdays, a series of free performances. Tickets are required and are available a couple weeks before the event. Although all tickets for the first event, on June 12th, have been reserved, I’m including it anyway because you can go to the box office the day of the show and get on a waitlist. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are people who reserve free tickets and then don’t show up.

Tarradiddle Players in Brother Rabbit Spinning Free The Tarradiddle Players present a special performance of Brother Rabbit Spinning Free. This production explores how different cultures in the Carolinas are connected through stories. Along the way you’ll meet Brother Rabbit and his friend Slippy Fox, who he must try to outsmart at every turn. Tuesday, June 19 at 11 am and 1 pm A waitlist will start on June 19 an hour prior to each performance. You must be present at the box office inside of ImaginOn to be added to the waitlist.

The Balloon Lady  The Balloon Lady is back! Donna Pruett’s entertaining program includes award winning balloon creations, music, storytelling, and engaging magic tricks that appeal to children of all ages. You’ll be amazed by what she can create with just balloons and a bit of imagination. Tuesday, June 26 at 11 am and 1 pm A waitlist will start on June 26 an hour prior to each performance. Secret Agent 23 Skidoo Secret Agent 23 Skidoo introduces kids to hip hop with witty lyrics, fat beats, and magnetic stories. Join us for a classic hip hop show featuring high energy party rocking and lots of audience participation! This show will bring you to your feet! Professor Whizzpop Professor Whizzpop presents the Dream Big, Reading is Magic Show! This highly interactive show captivates children’s imaginations and encourages reading by bringing classic story book tales to life. Grey Seal Puppets in Bathtub Pirates The Grey Seal Puppets present Bathtub Pirates! Surrounded by aquatic toys and a sea of bubbles, the imagination runs wild with adventure stories. Follow the antics of Captain Blackbeard and his crew as they commandeer a child’s bathtub to carry out their daring plan. It’s good clean fun for the whole family! Birdman Dave Take flight with Birdman Dave and his animal friends! Kids can see different types of birds and learn cool facts about these amazing animals. The Great Fettucini Steve Langley brings his unique mix of juggling, comedy, and uncommon feats of amazing dexterity to ImaginOn to wind up our 2012 Terrific Tuesdays series!
