Summer Extravaganza at Naomi Drenan Rec Center 6/9/12

Naomi Drenan Rec Center, at 750 Beal Street, is hosting a FREE Summer Extravaganza event on Saturday, June 9th, from 10am to 4pm. Read on….

CMecklenburg County Park and Recreation, in partnership with Hoop Magicians Basketball Comedy Show, CMPD, the City of Charlotte and Grier Heights Community Improvement Organization will host the inaugural Summer Extravaganza on Saturday, June 9 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

The event will feature: 

• An indoor/outdoor basketball tournament 
• Vendors: (Gang of One, YWCA, Project Change the World and more!) 
• A magic show 
• Food
• Art & crafts
• And more.

Participants will also be able to take advantage of an opportunity to skate for free at nearby Grayson Skatepark. All skaters must have elbow/knee pads and helmet on at all times.
