The 13th Annual Charlotte Asian Festival and Dragon Boat Festival takes place Saturday, May 5th, 2012, from 9am to 5pm at Ramsey Creek Park in Cornelius. Parking is at Palace Theatre on 17220 W. Catawba Road with complimentary shuttle service to the festival site. The festival celebrates Asian diversity, diversity, ethnicity, roots and history.
The Dragon Boat Races, featuring teams competing in colorfully decorated boats, start at 9am, and the festival continues, with music, dancing, food, martial arts demonstrations, a fashion show, and more, through 5pm. Admission is free.
