Free choir concert at Providence United Methodist Church 4/29/12

Providence United Methodist Church, 2810 Providence Road, presents a Spring Choir concert on Sunday, April 29th, 2012, at 7pm. This is the last in the church’s 2011/2012 series of free concerts.

The Chancel Choir of Providence United Methodist Church, accompanied by musicians from the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, will present Gioacchino Rossini’s Stabat Mater. One of the five great sequences of the church, the Stabat Mater recalls the sorrow of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, as she stood at the cross.
