UNCC invites the public to a free talk by Eric Steinhart on “Soviet Collaborators and the Holocaust in Ukraine” on Monday, February 6th, 2012, from 6pm to 7:30pm in the College of Health and Human Services in Room 281.

Steinhart earned his Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2010 and is a Research Scholar at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies in Washington, D.C.

His dissertation, “Creating Killers: The Nazification of the Black Sea Germans and the Holocaust in Southern Ukraine, 1941-1944,” received the prestigious Fritz Stern Dissertation Prize from the German Historical Institute in 2011.
