On Sunday, January 15th, 2012, from 12pm to 4pm, and Monday, January 16th, from 10am to 4pm, the Levine Museum of the New South will offer free admission during its MLK Day Celebration. On both days, there will be activities honoring Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy. The Courage exhibit will be closing January 22nd, 2012, so this may be your last chance to see it.
These are the most popular days of the year at the museum, so tickets will be issued throughout the day on an hourly schedule.

In addition to the exhibits, Levine Museum’s MLK Day Community Celebration will feature Civil Rights films, story time for young children, dance, drumming and music performances. Partners and program participants include: Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, St. Paul’s Missionary Baptist, Create Don’t Hate/ UNC Charlotte Hip Hop Theatre, the Real Orchestra, CPCC, the McCorey YMCA and WAXN.
