On a Winter’s Solstice
Latta Plantation Nature Center
Wednesday, December 21st, 4pm to 5pm
Celebrate the shortest day of the year with a sunset hike at Latta. Bundle up for hot cocoa, a little bit of solstice folklore and history, and a spectacular view of Mountain Island Lake at sunset! Terrain: Easy, 1.0 mile

Winter Solstice Hike
Reedy Creek Nature Center
Wednesday, December 21st, 6pm to 7pm
Celebrate the winter solstice immersed in nature with like minded friends! Enjoy a moderately paced hike taking in the crisp winter air on the shortest day of the year. Participants must be able to hike 3 – 4 miles on uneven terrain. A Limited number of flashlights are available, please bring your own if you have one.
