Every month, Crown Town Handmade, a collective of wildly creative and cool Charlotte crafters, holds a “Make Out” session for the community. At the make out session, you make stuff. Crafts. Usually a member of the group leads participants in a specific project. But at March Madness, Thursday, March 31st, 7:30pm, it’s a free for all. Bring whatever project you are working on, and enjoy the company. If you don’t have a project, join Donna Kirby of In Ten Years in folding paper cranes. The cranes will join others being sent to sister cities in Japan as a show of support after the tsunami.

Also, if you have a completed craft project that turned out “more Frankenstein than fabulous” bring it along for the Catastrophe Contest and Swap and trade it for someone else’s monstrous creation.

Optional BYOB, $5 corking fee per container/6 pack. Sodas for sale. Patchwerk Playhaus, in the back room of Century Vintage, 1508 Central Avenue, Charlotte, 28205. Enter in the alley past Soul Gastrolounge and Snug Harbor.
